Trolling motors are often criticized for lacking steering abilities, especially in choppy waters. The Bullnose Rudder changes this by providing better control, particularly in windy conditions. This innovation helps in holding a straight course at most trolling speeds and reduces the tendency for your boat to spin when the motor is off. Patented design, patent no. D712,341S.
The Bullnose Rudder is specifically designed to fit 1 1/8" (1.125") transom mount trolling motors. It measures 10.5" high by 4.75" wide and is compatible with brands like Minn Kota, MotorGuide, and Newport Vessel trolling motors. It works well with smaller boats such as inflatable pontoon boats, Pelican Bass Raider 10E, fishing kayaks, canoes, and jon boats. Note: It will not work with self-deploy bow mount trolling motors.
Enhanced control is offered at both slow and high trolling speeds, which is a significant improvement. Many customers have reported that the rudder prevents the boat from spinning as much when the motor is off. Almost any tiny boat will benefit from a rudder setup, even with a simple installation that takes only a few minutes.
Manufactured in the USA with high-quality materials, the Bullnose Rudder is built to last. Constructed from impact-resistant plastic and featuring stainless steel screws, it ensures a secure fit that enhances your fishing experience. Additionally, its design is patented, ensuring reliability and durability.
For Minn Kota, Edge, Maxxum, and Fortrex bow mount trolling motors, the Bullnose Rudder is ideal. However, it is important that the bow mount is of the hand cable pull type and not self-deploy. The system requires 1' of shaft to be exposed for attachment. This unique feature ensures that you can carefully raise the motor out of the water, allowing for easy installation.

Manufactured in the USA using high-quality parts and materials, the Bullnose Rudder ensures a stress-free fishing experience. It is made from impact-resistant plastic for durability and comes with stainless steel screws. Designed to stay securely in place without loosening, it allows you to focus on fishing rather than worrying about the rudder. Patent no. D712,341S
The Bow Mount Rudder fits Minn Kota's EDGE, MAXXUM, and FORTREX models. It requires a hand cable pull for the motor, not a self-deploy mechanism. A self-deploy setup will not work because the system needs the shaft to slide up and down where the rudder is attached. A hand cable pull allows you to carefully lift the motor out of the water on the motor mount. Ensure that 1' of shaft extends from the end of the platform, providing enough space to attach the rudder securely.
